Mrs. Black is a Chef on a on the Creative Cooking Channel. She called me to have a favorite Hooker Valencia Arroz Recliner Chair repaired that had lost 4 - brass disc.

This post shows the seven steps to repair this Hooker Valencia Arroz Recliner Chair foots. Part 1 shows how the front feet were repaired and part 2 shows how to solve the rear feet.

Step 1: Fig.1 shows a brand new painter's soft tarp behind the Hooker Valencia Arroz Recliner Chair on the floor. Make sure that you have twice the area of the back of the chair. Why? Because the extra tarp is folded into the sides and front of the chair. When a piece of furniture cost over two thousand dollars, the are procedures to take care of it.

Step 2: Fig.2 shows the bottom of the chair has the foot intact. Mrs. Gray stated there used to be a brass tip to slide across the floor. It must have been misplaced when she purchased the chair.

Step 3: Fig.3 shows the right leg was the same a little hole for the brass foot.

Step 4: Fig.4 shows these are temporary Everbilt Brass Legs Tips that allow the chair to slide on the floor but not destroy the larger wooden leg. These were purchased at The Home Depot and cost very little but will do until the real ones come from the manufacturer.

Step 5: Remove two Everbilt™ Brass Legs Tips from the packaging. This picture also shows that the right leg will be first to receive the brass nail into the hole. Now push it with your hand. If there were no holes you would have to wait until the manufacturer had the proper brass leg disc.

Step 6: Once the brass nail is as far as you can push it with your finger, use a Tack Hammer to finish the process. The idea is just to get the brass tip on the leg not to over hammer. Fig.6 shows a  tacking hammer that fits the bill for Delicatfurniture. Do not over hammer. If the nail won't go in stop and remove the temporary tip and drill the hole the size of the nail.
