How to Paint a Security Door - Part 4 of 5 - Wood Door Painted

Supplies and Tools:
Cordless Screwdriver with Phillips tip
Painter brush 1-1/2 inch
Painter tray
Paint frame and roller cover

Mrs. Wrighthood needed a second mortgage on her home business. She had to qualify for the loan and had been told by her real estate agent that her front door needed repainting. She called my service company for an emergency repair. This is post shows the progression of painting the metal security door, the wood front door on both sides, the metal door frame, and installing the door hardware.

This post shows the eight steps to paint a wood door on both sides.

Step 1: Fig.1 shows the metal has been painted white and the inside wood door needs to be painted with semi-gloss white paint.
Step 2: Fig.2 shows the door locking hardware being removed.

Step 3: Fig.3 shows the deadbolt hardware still on the door.

Step 4: Fig.4 shows that the door frames were painted to match the white door. The molding on the inside was painted to match the door.

Step 5: Fig.5 shows another view of the wood door frame.

Step 6: Fig.6 shows the lock view of the wood frame.

Step 7: Fig.7 shows the front door exterior side painted with with semi-gloss paint. Both sides of this door were rolled.

Step 8: Fig.8 shows the exterior door finished. Except placing the door hardware back on.
