How to Clean an Oriental Rug - Part 2 of 3 - Furniture Feet Protection

Supplies and Tools:
Measuring tape
Reynolds® wrap aluminum foil
Scissors 

How to protect the furniture legs from leaving a rust stain on a wet carpet.

These are the five steps to installing metal foil underneath the furniture legs.

Step 1: Fig.1 above shows Reynolds® wrap aluminum foil. Warehouse stores sell many type of furniture feet protection not to damage your wet carpet. The least expensive is aluminum foil. Aluminum foil does not rust and will protect the metal feet from rusting on a wet carpet. Aluminum will not leave marks on the floor and is an inexpensive alternative to the more expensive plastic feet provided. 
Step 2: Fig.2 through fig.4 shows how the aluminum foil was placed underneath each piece of furniture in the living room.

Step 3: Fig.5 through fig.7 shows aluminum foil on another piece of furniture legs.

Fig.7 Test the foil
Step 4: Fig.8 shows one sheet of aluminum foil cut large enough for the furniture leg.

Step 5: Fig.9 shows that each piece of aluminum foil needs to be a square.
