How BPA-Free and Melamine (Formaldehyde) Free Plastic Food Cover Protect our Food

BPA stands for bisphenol A. BPA is an industrial chemical that has been used to make certain plastics and resins since the 1960s. BPA is found in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Polycarbonate plastics are often used in containers that store food and beverages, such as water bottles. They may also be used in other consumer goods. Some research has shown that BPA can seep into food or beverages from containers that are made with BPA. Exposure to BPA is a concern because of possible health effects of BPA on the brain, behavior, prostate gland of fetuses, infants and children. This post shows the seven steps about BPA-Free and Melamine Free Plastic Food cover.

Step 1: Fig.1 and fig.2 shows a new Prepworks from Progressive International Microwave Food Cover container box cover with direction inside the cardboard cover.

Step 2: Fig.3 and fig.4 shows the food cover warning printed on the description cardboard. For example: Use "Caution from hot steam when removing cover." Fig.4 also shows that there is information about a complete satisfaction guarantee. Progressive International Corp, Kent, Washington 98032, USA.

Step 3: Fig.5 shows the food cover UPC sticker and fig.6 gives the diameter of the food cover and that the cover releases steam as the food is warmed up.

Step 4: Fig.7 and fig.8 shows an actual plate of food placed on a china plate. If the food was left unattended then the food would spatter up on the walls of the microwave. But using a plastic food cover allows the food to be warmed up and not spatter food all over the microwave.

Step 5: Fig.9 and fig.10 shows this is a 1-quart glass container cooking oatmeal into the microwave. After three minutes with the cover on there was no food splatter within the walls of the microwave. Job accomplished.

: Fig.11 and fig.12 shows spaghetti with rip olives placed in a bowl. Job accomplished.

Step 7: Fig.13 shows two cups of Hazelnut coffee warming up in the microwave. This is not needed coffee does not spatter up the microwave. Fig.14 shows that one cup of coffee was placed underneath the plastic lid, also not needed. Job accomplished.

How to Install Horse Fly Trap

Supplies and Tools: 
Clothe metal hanger (one for each bag)
Electrical wire tie (one for each bag)
Fly trap 
Ladder 4-foot
Measuring 4-cup
Scissors
Water

Dr. James lives in Blythe, Riverside. Known as one of the many rural sites in Riverside County. His house is near many agricultural and livestock farms. One of the many pest they endure transferred from these farm is the common horse fly. According to the University of Rhode Island Green Share Fact sheets states "The horse fly can range from 20 mm (3/4 inch) to more than 25 mm (1 inch) in length. The antennae of horse flies are thick and lengthen into 5 thinner segments. Their  wings are usually clear or completely dark. The horse fly have short tongued species of horse flies use their knife-like mandibles to rip and/or slice flesh apart. Only female horse flies feed on blood. These flies are vicious, painful biters which feed on the blood of cattle, horses, mules, hogs, dogs, deer and other mammals, including humans."

This post shows the thirteen steps to installing a outdoor fly trap in your patio area.

Step 1: Fig.1 shows the top of the fly trap container. Presently the package is sealed, the package has this horrible smelling chemicals inside to draw flies inside. Caution if bag breaks or if the package leaks on you, the flies will swarm around you. 
Step 2: Fig.2 and fig.2a shows the scissors needed to cut a round circle around the top of the bag. Do not cut below the dotted lines otherwise it will damage the bag. The yellow flange is just big enough to hang from the cut hole, if the hole is bigger than the flange, the flange might push out and the bag would be useless. If the bag fails and falls all over the patio it will send all the contents and dead flies from the bag and bring in more flies to your home, and the patio area.

Step 3: Fig.3 shows the yellow plastic flange starting to come out of the bag.

Step 5: Fig.5 shows the placing the metal wire hanger to see if it will fit inside the white electrical ties. The tie is in a circle.

shows the yellow water fill line. Notice the white area below, this area show a visual direction on how to install the fly trap bag.

Step 8: Fig.7 shows how to remove the yellow flange.

Step 9: Fig.8 shows to pour in water into the bag and hang it upwards.

Step 10: Fig.9 shows push it in when filled with flies and toss the bag into the trash can.

Step 11: Fig.10 shows the measuring cup that will be used to put in water into the fly trap bag. A water hose sometimes is easier to use to fill the bags.

Step 12: Fig.11 shows the water being filled into the bag.

Step 13: Fig.12 and fig.13 shows the fly mixture being mixed with water. The job is done. Two of these were placed in the patio to remove the flies so Dr. James family can enjoy their patio.
