Dry clean towels
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser®
We were replacing our batteries on our backup fireplace switch and some of the acid had reached the fireplace mantle and frame.
This posts shows the four steps on how to use the magic eraser to clean a white fireplace and mantle.
Step 1: Fig.1 shows the magic eraser is the tool for cleaning this fireplace mantle and its framed edges.
Step 2: Fig.2 and fig.3 shows the magic eraser removing acid from the bottom metal gas shelf of the fireplace.

Step 4: Fig.5 shows Mr. Clean Magic Eraser® cleaning the bottom edge of the fireplace frame. Now that the fireplace frame and mantle are clean use the dry clean towel to pick up any existing moisture or water residue.
